Host Your Own Spelling Bee
Oyaspell lets you hold spelling bee competitions with your students in realtime no matter where they are on the planet.
To see how Oyaspell works from both the teacher's (quizmaster's) and students' (contestants') perspectives, follow these steps:
1. Get at least any three devices (phones, laptops, desktops, tablets, etc).
2. Use each device to sign up or sign in to unique accounts on Oyaspell.
4. On only one device, put the name you want to call your spelling bee in the and click .
5. Your bee will be created in seconds and you will see it as a button.
6. Click the button and you will be taken to the bee.
7. On the other devices, type the name of the bee that has just been created into the and click and they will be taken to the bee.
8. You can also click from any of the devices to see the bee you created or a list of bees created by others that you can join.
9. When inside the bee, on the device that created the bee, type a word in the and click . You will hear the word on your other devices.
10. On your other devices, type the word into and click .
11. You will be scored. The correct answers from the other devices will be displayed first, then the word you sent will be displayed. You can send as many words as you like.
12. When you click on your first device, it and all other devices will be exited from the bee and the bee will end.
13. If any other device clicks , only that device will be exited from the bee but it can re-enter if the bee is still active.
14. After leaving the bee, you can click to see a record of your bee. There you will find the log, score, correct/wrong words, etc of the bee.
15. The device you used in creating the bee is the teacher's or quizmaster's side while other devices are the students or contestant's side.
16. You can do the same for sign language, virtual class and premium versions of all three.
17. For premium bees and sign language bees, you need to create a wallet and fund your wallet with at least, 10x the amount you want to charge as entry fee.
18. For premium virtual class, you only need a wallet but no need to fund it.
19. To create a wallet, click PREMIUM from the top.
20. Put your name, phone number and NG in the boxes and click Create Wallet.
21. A wallet will be created for you and you can fund it by transferring money to it from your normal bank account.
22. You can also transfer money out of the wallet back to your or any other bank account when you are done.
